God knows why I have waited to post it. I have a feeling its cuz i wasnted to add more stuff to it, but I'm so busy these days that I think after having wirtten this post way back when, I permanently went into music withdrawal. Seriously, I don't even remeber pulling out my Ipod in about a month. Sad man, I have become what I always didn't want to be- just another schmuck waiting in line for a plate of tomato paste and half cooked pasta they heretically call Chicken Cacciatore. What a life. One day, you are king of your castle, the next day you boss has you by the balls so hard that you can't even go home and bump the lastest illegally downloaded album in your collection....

Anyway, lemme keep it simple, this past year wasn't that great for music. I mean.. you know, enh. So So. I discovered some old shit because the new shit just wasn't doing it for me. But this year is supposed to be boombastic in terms of new cds dropping. I mean ice cream with choclate chips type ish, roses that might actually end up smellin' good. You know? No? Ya'll crazy.
To the hippy-hoppy heads who sometimes bushwhack around this page, perk up, cuz I'm about to drop some knowledge right here. Here's a list of albums to check for this year. Don't sleep now, this year's gon be ill:

- If the first three days of the year were any indication, this year will be hype. Talib Kweli and Madlib (heat, personified) dropped a free album with just 9 tracks on it. Madlib gave Talib the sickest beats, and Talib just came like a hungry student spitting for crumbs of leftover pizza. Its ill, yo. Hip Hop needs more songs like "Engine Running". Cop this cd for free, or do as I do, and download it for free.

- Next up, the most eagerly anticipated release this year by far, Pharaohe Motherphonking MONCH. As my boy Khalid said to me, while introducing me to Pharaohe's music, "this nigga raps on levels". Three years on, hearing him rhyme the hell out of a beat, I still concur.
Straight up though, this boy is gonna get run over if he screws this album up, cuzcats have been waiting 8 years, there ain't no rooms for error now. Sal, tell Kahlid by the way. I am sure he's gonna be psyched up for this.

- Dilla (RIP) Inc. will release RuffDraft. Need fam support on this one fo sure. I bet you he'll be rippin' heads off with this one better than most cats are able to do while still breathing oxygen. Even maggots ain't touching Dilla right now.

- Saigon - I'm waiting for this one. I have a feeling he's gonna bring some heat on this and gonna take some folks by surprise. Stay alert.

- Bilal. Ehm. Yiih! the game's about to change when it comes to lady lovin', cuz Bilal about to drop another cd. Some are saying this cd, titled Love for Sale has been officially shelved. I don't care if it has been, cuz I got a leaked copy of last week, I'm just waiting for the right time to grrove to it. Soon, verY soon.

- Brother Ali - This cd has already been leaked, and I have already bumped my head on my computer about 17 times listening to it. Dope, just dope.

Are you confused yet? Good, that was my aim. Stay tuned. Cuz 2007 is about to rip it. Its been 10 years since the jiggy era began, time to take the block back and burn these ass jigglers outta this game. Peace.
