The Questions (inspired by Common Sense)

When a nation is facing the kidnapping of one of its own soldiers, how is it that it automatically attains impunity to kill innocent civilians of another land that have nothing to do with the kidnapping?

When speaking of terrorism, do some people realise that they themselves are engrossed in terrorist activities, be it government sponsored terrorism, indirect warfare or psychological terror?

Is the price of one soldier's captivity the death of atleast fifty civilians (and counting)?

How is it that when the whole world stands up and condems one nation's actions, that opinion is completely sidelined and disregarded because one other nation does not agree?

How is it that schoolchildren die in one country and its called 'a response in kind', but when another nation's soldiers die in a warzone its called an atrocity?

How can one nation attack another's land and property yet still have the gall to stand its ambassador in front of a poster that declares a pledge to Freedom, Security and Peace.

Its the questions ya'll, its the questions. I don't know how else to put the various strings of though together. If I started to speak about particular nations I would just go on to rant. But there's no need right now. Excuse the pun but a sinking feeling is starting to surface, that whatever will happen will happen. No matter what I say, what you say or what we hope. We lost the power to control things a long time ago. Now, its just gonna take a huge event to wake us up, if we ever wake up. If we want to wake up. So fuck it- I don't want to rant about Israel, Palestine, America, Lebanon, Hamas, Hezbollah or IDF. We seem bent on killing each other somehow, lets just get it over with. Today it was the Beirut International Airport, lets make it Syria the day after and heck, someone extend an invitation to the yanks too. Its gonna be a fun apocalypse, later we can sit around roasting marshmallows over a bonfire wondering which of the dead bodies strewn about are Jewish and which are Muslim.

Did I just slide into a rant? That's the easiest question I've had to ask today.
