Time Out
You know, Time Out used to be a sweet choclate back in the day. Maybe it still exists. I find myself having graduated from teh choclate bar era and having moved on to the luxury chcolate from Ptisserie's dort of market. I digress though, thsi post is not about chocolate. Its about me having some time off finally to take a break (have a Kit Kat!), and finally having time to come to this page again and post something.
I've been busy I tell you, between training at work, making friends, doing work at work (finally) and watching football games, my days have been full and there is no end in sight. Atleast, I hope the football will seem to go on as long as it wishes, because I'm really enjoying it. I've missed only one game till now and it wasn't a very good anyway.
Argentina is doing well, really actually. And, before you go on and say something about yesterday's game with Holland, rememeber that Argentina sat three of their best players all game. And we still controlled the play, created the most chances and got our youngers players loads of experience against a very good Dutch side. The Dutch on the other hand, were unable to control play and create chances, their posession seemed higher but i have no problem with them keeping the ball as long as they stay in tehir own half- which they did. As far as people saying that argentina might have peaked too early, hogwash. Bring on Mexico, I am just glad the prolific Campos is no longer their goalie.
Let me just take a second to pray to God - Please Allah, Please give Ghana the strength to beat the crap out of the USA tonight, and please Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful, allow Equador to be the carrier of your wrath and your awesome power against lowly, blasphemous, satanic England. Ameeen, Summah Ameen.
Oh, and just a concern I wanted to bring up Lord, Why did you make Edmondton lose to Carolina? What have they ever done? We ask your forgiveness, as well as the ever standing wish for lightning to strike the senior management of the Toronto Maple Leafs not to mention the shareholders. We humbly await your prompt assistance.
Ok, other highlights of the past week have been that I did not buy a tie last week or the week before that. Thats gotta count for something. OH! I'm gonna get a credit card soon, which means a dramatic increase in reading material via Amazon.com- any suggestions for good novels?
My brother's birthday was on the 20th of June. We gifted him a Swatch- it looks really nice. Of course, I did pick it out, so you know. But it looks really rewally good on him, and its just a beauty anyway. But now, he makes fun of my Swatch, which is about eight years old, and is the best purchase I ever made. Its gone throught many a shower with me, many a party, many an exam and even numerous countries. And my brother, has the gall to make fun of my watch in front of me, when he knws its fully history. If it hasn't lasted me so long, how do you think I was able to talk my parents to getting him one? I was so mad at him, I was like boy, If I hadn't pay for one third of that thing, I'd take a bat to it. Hmmph. People are so cocky sometimes.
There's much more to tell, I'll try to squeeze another post in somewhere during the week. Hope you folks are all good. Take care, I'll be around.
And if you think I'm gonna speel check this post, you're sadly mistaken.
