Lord Lord Lord... I loves you!

Ok. So I've taken to singing this line out loud whenever I have nothing to do at home. It started a few days ago when I just started humming, tapping on the computer table and singing some gibberish that ultimately led to a hundred or so repetitions of Lord Lord Lord, I loves you!

Call it a product of boredom, call it religious hysteria- whatever. This repetition of what I can only refer to as the opening/chorus line is followed by me usually rhyming words in the Lord's glory till I have what resembles a song. The lines change often, don't have any set words/purpose and keep being jumbled around. Its a puzzle, really. But like it or not, I have taken to singing it everywhere. I caught myself doing it today much to the bewilderment of the Pathan taxi driver, he just looked at me with such distressed eyes- I stopped, only to begin like a man possesed when I stepped out of the taxi. Worst thing is that the taxi driver probaly didn't even understand what I was saying in English! - meaning that even my singing is alarming people.

My family ignored me for a few hours but now are in a state of worry. Shouts of shut up resounded from the computer room when I began my washroom rendition this afternoon. After lunch, I was having chocolate soufle' - enough of a reason (atleast to me) to sing in the Lord's glory, and at one point my little brother joined me in singing the Lord's praise only to be stared shut by my mother the next second. My sister has taken to hitting me everytime I begin but I think its only because she is jealous of my singing. I tried talking to my brother (an avid DJ) about making a beat for the song that I could record over and he just laughed in my face. Now I know how Einstein must have felt. All great ideas (and songs) are ridiculed at first. I am not dettered, however.

Lord Lord Lord, I loves you
Lord Lord Lord, I loves you
Lord Lord Lord, I loves you
Lovvvve for my lord,
my lord my lord
I love my lord
Yessir, sing it loud
and proud
don't fear the crowd
they just hidin' behind a shroud
say it loud
say it to their face
their love for my Lord
is a disgrace
but not to worry..
Lord Lord Lord, I loves you-
I'll sing your praise
all night
all day
in sunshine while I make hay
at nighttime while I pray
you my Lord,
my Lord, I say I say I testify!
Preach.
Lord Lord Lord, I love ya so!

ps: I'm thinking something like a South Detroit beat for this here little diddy. Know anyone?
