Even Demi-Gods need a little time off.

A few days from now, my favourite comic strip goes on hiatus for six months as the cartoonist who pens the strip is focusing on his highly acclaimed and commercially successful animated series also called the Boondocks.

Aaron McGruder has changed cartoonist's perspective of what can be discussed through a comic strip series, he has surpassed old ideas and transcended new subjects. Breathing new life into an old art form, McGruder has brought the problems of a downtrodden America onto the pages of teh Boston Globe, the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune. His works is highly acclaimed for its poignant appraisal of modern American society and its sharp-witted characters that reflect everyday lifde more than fictional characters drawn to fill pages of news media.

His work recently placed him on the highly respected Demi-Gods list on EssentialUzi too. Aaron personally contacted me last month to convey his regards and thanks for the honour. No problem man, you honour us with your work. Have a productive hiatus and come back swingin' hard.
