I've been rearranging letters for recreation and recompense since I was 10. there hasn't been any money yet, but I'm keeping the faith.

Your wish is my command, Darren

So why am I still in Karachi on the 20th of January when I was actually supposed to reach Doha on the 9th, in time to wish my parents a happy 25th anniversary in person? The short answer is that I'm enjoying myself. The long answer is that I am dreading the bore of Doha after a month full of friends and family. Besides, on the 29th of January, Pakistan will begin to play a test match against India in Karachi. This is monumental occasion, one that I cannot possibly push aside. Such matches happen once in a blue moon, much less in Karachi. So, as soon as one of my uncles got tickets to the game, my departure was postponed till the 4th of Feburary. Call me a spoilt brat, but I'll take all your abuse to watch Tendulkar wicket be ripped to shreds by Shoaib Akhtar's fast ball.

For those of you keeping count, I have now been on vacation since June 2nd. I'm not complaining really, but am feeling slightly guilty at my lack of productivity in the last 7 months. Thank God the Cdn dollar has a good conversion value, I can only imagine how much longer this vacation would be if I had American dollars in my pocket. One can only dream.

On a lighter note, did you know that Karachi was at one time called Krotchy by the English? If the name had stuck we could all be called Krotchyians or better yet, Krotchyiites, sounds like a kinky Communist party to me.
