A special question deserves a special answer
Anonymous asked: Why does man hate? More to the point, why are you such a hater?
- An excellent question indeed.
To deal with the first part of your question, why does man hate? Well, man can hate due to many reasons. It could be because of his circumstances, because of how he is brought up, because he does not know how beautiful love is, because he is jealous or perhaps because all he has ever encountered in life is hate. I do not subscribe to the theory that man's life is short, brutish, and hell and as such do not look upon hate as a pre ordained charcateristic; rather, I believe that one's circumstances shape one's ideas, one of them being feelings of hate towards others.
I should point out that 'hate' is too often flung around as a normal word these days. And I am as guilty of that as anyone else in that matter. But, hate is a very strong word. It means to absolutely dislike something to its core, to see no good in it, and no redeeming quality in its existence. Its a word too easily used these days. I don't actually hate britney spears, nor do I hate people honking all the time, and I don't hate the child who pressed all 17 buttons on the elevator this afternoon. I might be miffed about those things, but those feelings of anger, frustration and even dislike (britney) are nowhere close to hate. So, in essence what I'm saying is that man can hate for a lot of reasons typically arising from his/her circumstances; however, what we consider 'hate' in today's continually changing 'word-full' society is not really hate.
Now, why am I such a hater? Well, I really am not. Its just my alternate persona that seems to come out sometimes and monopolise all discussions, thrusting them towards hate-ful propaganda. I guess you could say that too is a result of my circumstances, but that would be untrue because I have recieved nothing but love all my life and am quite thankful for that. We all have a darker side, mine just seems to come out on these pages and in the company of M and Nihau. Esepcially M, when the two of us get together, watch out! hateration is in full effect.
So, I guess what I'm saying is that I really am not a hater, its just a little part of me peeking through once in a while to vent out some frustration. Most people say that I am a lovable bear actually. Ok, well not most people, just Nihau. But still, that counts right?
