the questions

The prospect of a trip halfway around the world withOUT a computer by my side for long periods of time (more than 45 minute stretches) is making me feel unsettled. The questions that are racing through my mind at this juncture are numerous and varied in their tact. For example... do they have computers in France? Do they know what a .com is? If the answers to the last two questions were positive, then I would like to ask whether counter terrorist forces will descend onto my IP address to arrest me for posting pictures of Paris online?

As if all this was not a conundrum enough, this traveller is faced with the far more graver issue of his Ipod playlist. What to put on? Is Franz Ferdinand's latest release good enough to take onto the journey? The problem was compounded this morning during a second listening of Welcome to Jamrock. That cd is on
the Ipod for the trip for sure now... but what do I take off? Wu tang is a lock. I am sure I'll be pissed off many a morning and just need my dose of Method Man.

All 5 of Dj Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz albums are going to be on there too. Nothing like falling asleep on a crowded plane humming away to trippy jazz beats. Mos and Talib, lock. The Roots, K'naan and Common will all have atleast one cd. I can count off many that will be on.. but who shall I cut?

Hmm..this poses a severe risk to the ultimate enjoyment of the trip to France and then onto the middle east. That's just 17 hours of flying time right there. Not to mention wait times. I have to give this question some thought.

currently spinnin': D'Angelo -Voodoo (can you say classic?)
