Paris, the fifth episode

Last night was taxing on both of us. We walked a lot, drove a lot, did a lot, walked some more.. still couldn't find our car so we walked some more. all the while the streets of Monmarte kept confusing and frustrating us; And as if mockery of your intelligence wasn't enough we had to walk uphill and downhill the whole time.

So today Mag & I were ready for a break from the traffic, the pedestrians and the hustle of paris. Woke up at 11, sat around on the comp for three hours. Mag's grandparents were visitng so we sat down to a great meal at around 2. I'm pretty sure it went till about 4, but I could be wrong, the turkey got me sleepy really fast. There were also other things to eat and drink that also induced sleep. Mag's dad is a great host. Her grandparents are awesome too, great people. I didn't feel out of place at all, we had great conversation despite the language barrier. It was a great lunchfolloaed by good coffee, good chocolate, good poker game, and good sleep.

We woke up, got ready and left soon after. I wanted to go clubbing but that was before I had the turkey. Plans changed drastically after that. We ended up visiting one of Mag's good friends, Julie and her mom. Sat around, played Rummy and watched the end of that robin hood flick with kevin costner in it. I had a great time at their house too. Really awesome folks.

My night was capped off with a first; I touched a dog and a cat for the first time today. I had never done that. But Julie's place had a dog named Nala that at first barked at me incessantly but stopped soon after. She was the sweetest, fattest husky/german shephard mix I have ever seen. The house also had a kitten named Misha. What a beautiful creature. I played with her for minutes on end. I think I might get a cat, I loved that kitten so much.

Its my last day in France today, surprisingly I am not too sad to be leaving. I've had a great time, its been really good in fact. Time to move on and get to the sand dunes.
