Hubba Hubba Ding Ding !!

There are many things in this world which I go bonkers over. Women are at the forefront of that group. Then there are the Jeans I usually go nuts over. The Leafs too. Then there is music, tech toys, poli sci theories, pez dispensers, pants that have buttons rather than zippers, the peach mango fruizzis at second cup, taking pictures of unsuspecting people while they are smashed.. etc. etc.

All this I love and adore. But few things make me more happy (or feminine for that matter) than my love for shoes. I love 'em. I love them in almost all colours and god willling, I shall have them all one day. The clandestine attack on France, Italy and Switzerland is already in the works. Anyway, staying on topic, today I went shopping for new shoes. I knew what I wanted as I had seen it just two days ago at Square One. Sadly, I was foiled by the Shoe Size Gods as the shoes I loved were only available in a size 11 at that store.

So, I decided to take a strip down to Queen St. in Toronto. I was told by one saledude at Square One that there are a ton of boutiques in that area that would definitely sell the shoes. I started walking at the Bay St./Queen St. intersection and went all the way past Spadina Ave. and further in search for the shoes. The second store I walked into, had the shoes. But once again, the Show Size Gods intervened and this time sent a 'muse' to misdirect me. This 'muse', in the attractive form of a petite sales lady informed me that the shoes I wanted did not come in a Men's 10 size. Hmm.. well, I had tried an 11 size just a day ago and it was the same shoe so I figured the Gods were up to their old tricks and forgave the 'muse'. I moved on.

I struggled through the rest of the stores on my list but was unsuccessful. The last store I walked into was at 468 Queen St. West. It was called Da Zone. They had my shoes. They had my size. I brought these beauties home today. Needless to say, I will not be exercising the refund policy.
