This beautifully worded dua (prayer) is from a fellow pakistani blogger whose website I stumbled onto on one of random surfings through the web.

The past two days have seen a massive tragedy unfold in South Asia where an earthquake has killed atleast 25,000 people and devastated complete villages. In thsi time of need, my thoughts are with my fellow pakistanis many of whom have lost family, friends and what little they had in the world. I am not an overly religious person I will confess, but I have to hold on to something. I guess this is my own grasp for air amidst this freefall..

Ah meray Allah un tamam logon ko apnee rehmato say aala say aala darja naseeb farma, aur un k lawahayqeen ko sabre jameel ata farma, ay meray rab jin logon ka malee nuqsaan hua hay un ko un say zayada (halal) tareeqay say naseeb farma, logon key jano maal aur izzat key hifazat famra, tamam logon ko har tarah key beemarion, majboorion, haadsaat, aur ghunahoon say bacha ... aameen, summa aameen.
