The Harry Potter theory

I have a theory abou the Harry Potter books. If you would like to hear it, read on. But, please be warned that if you have not read teh fifth book, you might not want to go forward because spoilers lie herein.

The Theory:

This is not a comprehensive theory and if you start to think of obscure stuff, if you nag at it long enough, you can probabaly prove it wrong. But, I think it is a pretty solid theory given the circumstances.

Harry Potter is in actuality a recounting of world history from 1910-1945 maybe.

When the first book starts, Harry is a nearly grown boy who has lost his parents in the last 'great fight'. It was a time of evil when the dark forces had gathered a lot of power. Many died in the ensuing violence. The Magic world was destroyed as never before. The dark forces were beaten back but in the background threatened to return. This 'great fight' to me atleast, is the First World War.

Then we have the years that Harry grows up as we read, These you can call the years between the two wars. There are tries by the dark forces to come back but they fail.

In the fifth book, the threat from Voldemort becomes clear to only a few people. The Minister of Magic does not believe that Voldemort is back. Neither do many others in government. However, a man who is ridiculed throughout this book, a man who loses his power, lives to his most shining moment. Dumbledore, at the end of the book becomes head of the Magic world as he is proven right about the dark forces. Where everyone else discounted the reports, Dumbledore saved Harry and proved that Voldemort was back.

Dumbledore is Winston Churchill before the second world war. Winston Churchill was the only diginitary in England to raise his voice among whispers. He said what people did not want to hear. He was ridiculed. He was relegated to the back benches of parliament. Yet, when the time of the Nazi attack came, he was proven right. He rose to power and became the man that would lead England to victory. This is Dumbledore.

At the end of the fifth book, this is where we stand. The second great war is upon the magic world and Dumbledore leads them into the fight.
