The Racketeers are an interesting club in England. The Guardian writes about their passions, their lives and most of all their literature discussions.

They have become rock sensations almost overnight and their style and aura reminds people of the heydays of AC/DC and the rollicking times of the past. Their first major tour takes them through Europe and the Guardian reports upon teh trials and turbulations of a tight tour schedule coupled with a band's first long road trip where the rockstar lifestyle really hits home, both in good and bad ways.

A former McMaster graduate has recently won the Physicist of the Year Award. His recent insights into silicon (no, not the ones on britney's chest) have created a buzz in the physics world and he is being hailed as a pioneer for his work. The Globe and Mail reports that this professor from Simon Fraser university has come a long way from one blowing his room up with a chemistry set.
