ok.. i have wanted to write for the last few days but something or the other keeps popping up..

last night .. in the middle of my post ... my mom informed me that an offer to buy our house hada rrived and we had to go to the real estate agent's office immediately. I had to delete my post (shake of fist at the gods). Anyway, I'm here now. Our house sold. I think we got a really good price. More than they initially offered and the ensuing negotiations (courtesy of me) were very productive for us. Anyway, it's not official yet, that person has to get a loan big enough to mortgage the house and if that does not happen in five days, we have a no-deal.

so.. thabeing done with... i have GREAT news.. another blog is going into "my fav" section today/yesterday. Turning Tables is an amazing blog maintained by an American soldier in Iraq. I read about it on Salaam Pax's blog (where else???). Moja (the soldier) write about his everyday life as a soldier, his girl back home and his thoughts on the war. The writing is excellent. The blog is frequently updated and the man, well the man is very intelligent. Welcome to "my fav" section Moja, although I am sure you have never read my blog, I am now a religious fan of yours. Check this site out people.

one more thing about Turning Tables ... I like it because not only is it all that I mentioned above but it also proves that soldiers are not just drones. These guys have minds and hearts of their own. The government might have the wrong reasons at heart but they are just doing their job, trying to feed their own families. Most importantly, they have independent thoughts, they do have emotions and ninety nine times out of a hundred, people overlook this fact when they speak of the US armed forces.

I just can't say enough.. how much I like thsi blog.. ok.. moving on..

here is some really good news.. the Zapatistas are having a relaunch of sorts.. I did an essay on the Zapatistas in second year pol sci. They are a fascinating group that acheived a lot within a few short years but alas, sort of fizzled away after that. Well, they are coming back.. yippee! Subcommandante Marcos rules!

Power to the people! Ya Basta!

This is a screenshot of the guiness book or world records .. read it an then notice the encircled words... bizarre..

i'm goin to bed... i'm coming down with the flu i think...

ps: natraj.. have fun in boston. See ya when you get back.
