it feels like pakistan here in canada..

crazy.. the lights are still out in many parts of ontario.. and it's fucking hot outside too.. i slept for an extra 6 hours today.. needed the sleep bcuz i was surprised that it was 4:30 when i woke up... so i slept like a baby..

then we bbq-ed .. it was our effort to conserve elctricity by cooking on the barbie rather than the stove.. it's crazy out there too.. the lineups are grocery stores are such that you would think they were giving away free food..

btw.. there were places and people in new york yesterday that were selling flashlights for $40 .. and once the person bought one... they were promptly told that the batteries would cost an extra $25... an to add insult to even more injury.. the whole refund exchange program was forgone for one day.. lol.. ppl are crazy...

but seriously.. the ones that got screwed the most royally were the ppl who commute to T.O. and New York City... as soon as the public transport went down.. that was it.. they were stuck.. sitting ducks waiting to pay exorbitant prices to taxi cabs to take them to oakville or scarborough.. easily an hour's ride atleast in the chaos... crazy crazy.. i'm glad i work in mississauga...

my plan for hamilton is still on for tomorrow... but i don't have anyone helping me .. cuz laura's studying for her GRE got a major setback due to the power outage.. so she's trying to catch up.. but i am meeting her tho...

another group that is probably gonna get screwed is the ppl that were going to take their MCATS tomorrow.. oi.. let's just leev it at that..
