Iiiiiiiiii'm back! Whoa.
Okay.. lot's to tell/explain and too little time..
first off.. I got in from Hamilton last night and if had seen me when I walked in you would have been able to tell that I was dead beat. I had about 8 hours of combined sleep in the last 3 days. I dropped about $140 durign teh whole weekend on everything from food to gas to etc.
However, I had a great time. I wish I lived in Hamilton. My house looks awesome! It was so good to be back. I set up my computer table and chair in the room. Also took down my coffee table and lounge chair. All of that was courtesy of IKEA. :)
Met up with other Welcome Week Reps from Whidden. We have a great time. For those interested, A welcome week rep is a temporary/non-paid position held by a select few people from each residence during thre first week of school. These people usually are granted the previlege of helping out students in their transition to university. At the same time, we teach them the ropes, have fun and generally partayy down. So I met up with our team this weekend an dthey are all amazing. We all know each other from last year.. so that helps the cause. I chilled a lot of the time with Ali, who is sort of my boss in this case but is also a friend. We have always gotten along well but really got a chance to get to know each other thius weekend. Great guy and a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Moving on.. I think I am going to paint my room. It has some dark marks on the wall and scratches and stuff that will piss me off all year if I don't take care of them and since I only have three pieces of furniture in the room right now... it makes sense that I take care of it now.. now the question is.. what colour do I choose? I have till August 22nd to decide. That's the next time I go down to my favourite city for a work weekend (also with the reps).
Hamilton looked so beautiful. Especially my area. Looked awesome. We have really old trees and once our new lawn goes in.. it will look amazing.. I cannot wait to move in. This has just added my drive to pay off my bill to MAC and go back to school more than anything in the world.
The funniest thing is.. usually I visit campus and walk around it and enjoy its beauty. But this time, I did not even step onto campus. I just spent time outside it and really loved it. That's funny.. i just realised that. Hmmm.. what does that mean?
Laura and I couldn't meet up. That really sucks. I was so excited to see her. She emailed me to apologise in advance. I didn't have internet access so I waited for her at Williams. That wasn't the problem. The problem was that I didn't get to see her. I felt sad for not seeing her. But she had a good reason for not being there.. but still.. :(
Natraj on the other hand... you're just a dink. We could have seen each other but you..if it wasn't for your forgetful.. ah whatever... you're a dink!
I loved seeing Sina again. He is my friend that went to Lebanon this summer and lived in a refugee camp for a month or so. He is hillarious. It's good to see that he has not lost his enjoyment for life even after he visited such a hard/sad place. Some people would be sad everyday for the plight of those refugees but although Sina does feel sad, he knows how to distance himself from his feelings as to not bring himself down everytime he enjoys a luxury that those people might not have. It was great to see you man. I miss your Indian accents.
This get away weekend was REALLY good for me... I really needed it. The pressure of making constant payments to school and OSAP and other things was getting to me and I was feeling quite suffocated by my family. Now, I can quietly smile to myself about things that happened this weekend and I really won't be bothered by much for a while...
I'm gonna go back to sleep....
