I really wanted to post yesterday but found it impossible to do so... I had to go watch my brother's baseball game and by the time I got back from it, I was so tired that I went straight o bed. Well.. here I am now.. and it's gonna be a long one...

The Bijani (conjoined) twins passed away yesterday, 90 minutes after surgeons had seperated them from each other. The twins both died due to massive blood loss. I felt really sad when I heard that news. These were both intelligent women. Both were law school graduates. They were 51 years old. they both knew the risks involved in this operation. They had both talked about how they could possibly die. Imagine how hard it must have been for them to come to the conclusion that they wanted to go through with this. May they rest in peace.

On a sidenote to that same issue, There is show here in Canada called Jimmy Kimmel late show and two days ago while these twins were going through their operation, Jimmy Kimmel was makign fun of how 'beautiful' they both look. The whole thing was a sarcastic joke then, but I sincerely hope that he and his writers feel atleast a tinge of remorse...

moving on.. yesterday I was once again put into a position in which I was completely frustrated by someone else's comment(s). A guy I work with (of Sri Lankan origin), about 50 years of age, actually said that it was good thing that Hitler killed six million Jews. The conversation started off with him pointing to Stalin's biography and asking if that was the guy who used to rule Russia. I said yes and went on to point out that he had during his time killed 20 million of his own people; and that while most people knew about Hitler, the majority did not know about Stalin's record. Then he dropped the bombshell on me.

I could not believe he said that. How was it good? How? Six million INNOCENT people died man! He said that it was good because they rule the world. They own everything. They sell arms to the poor nations that America cannot be found consorting with etc etc.

I agree Jews rule the world. They hold all the power etc etc. but you can't hold that against them. If I was in power, I would be the same. In fact, muslims were the same, so were the Brits and everyone else who ever held power in this world.. Besides, whatever the case and situation may be today, that still does not warrant the killing of even one individual years ago or at anytime for that matter.

I was shocked, amazed and completely frustrated. But, this time I stood my ground and argued with him. In the end, I walked away in disgust because nothing I said would have changed his mind. I just cannot fathom what would make a person say that? ...

Sometimes I just wanna scream my head out.

Btw... this morning, my very good friend (that damn son of a bitch) Donald Rumsfeld said that evidence of new weapons was not the main reason for America's war on Iraq. LOL. America's reasons/policies/tactics/allies seem to change as frequently as the color of a chameleon these days.

oh.. you what's funny if you ever see it with your own eyes.. when u walk out of a baseball game and every parent's car in the parking lot is a van. After yesterday's game, all 24 cars in the lot were vans. I counted. The only car not a van was the umpire's car. That was funny. :)

if you are rolling your eyes at that... then consider this.. Pascal once said, "Little things make us happy because little things afflict us." I like that quote.
