404 guffaw.. this is awesome. I know, I know... it's an error right? .. but read the message.. that's the whole website!
Here is something cool. This is a giant cloud of gas and dust somewhere in our universe, which is going to be deleted. Within a few million years, the intense light from bright stars will have boiled it away completely. Does anyone else see the cloud giving us the finger?
This is really strange too.. a giant whale, octopus, or squid's skin/rotting carcass has washed up on the shores of Chile. It has scientists the world over stumped as to what it is. Check out the National Geographic link. The top right photograph shows what this "blob" (as it is being currently termed) looks like... strange. But, you have to wonder what creatures there are today in this world that we do not even know exist. This world is an amazing place.
Staying with that for a second... one of the guys on my brother's baseball team has a sibling that currently has a problem with his left eye. Specifically, the eyelid of his left eye. The human eye lid is made up of about 50 different glands among other things. These glands help to replenish the eye, clean it etc.
Well, in this child's case, one of the glands has clogged up. So there is what seems to be a cyst in his eyelid. The whole thing is not very painful but it does blur his vision a bit. Not to mention that he cannot play baseball for a while. Hope he gets better. But, what I want to talk about the complexity of that eyelid. Wow! 50 glands in one eyelid all having their own function, nuances and complexities. how amazing is that?
This is why I will always believe that there is a god. This beautiful/amazing/complex world did not come into existence on its own. No argument can be strong enough to make me believe that all this just happened without anyone willing it to happen. 50 glands! in one eyelid! wow... and that isn't all. There are thousands of creatures in the world...each with its own secrets and then there are in-animate objects. I am just always amazed at how complex this world is...
with that lecture ..we end today's session of Uzi 101 .. see you all tomorrow and don't forget to read the assigned links..
